A Surprise Find Hidden in a Xmas Box!

When unpacking some donated doll items this very old doll head in mint condition was discovered.

She was wrapped in an edition of

'The Sun' newspaper that was dated Monday 20th September 1943.

She is Australian made and was priced at five shillings sixpence.

This Pearl Porter doll that was owned by one of our members has finally found her way home! A surprise message on Facebook from the grand daughter of Pearl Porter pleading that she would love to buy it as she didn't own any of her grandmothers dolls. Even though she was much loved and was hard to part with, she now lives in Helensburgh with the grand daughter.
